I’m excited! Im not sure from what I’ve read if it has been or will be released, but Line 6 have shown-off their brand new baby, the POD X3 series of guitar signal processors! I’m really stoked for the POD X3 Pro, which is their flagship model, and is a rack-mountable unit. As a previous POD owner, I know what they’re capable of, and I can’t wait to get my hands dirty with this baby (after I save my peny’s)! I know you guys don’t want the 3rd degree, but here it is anyway! This article I found sums it up nicely

Basically, the great thing about this is that you can run 2 guitar rigs at the same time! Something, only Line 6’s Vetta series of guitar amps could achieve. This opens up a massive amount of potential with creative amp combinations, so I can get my ‘Matt Smartt Signature Tone’ and no one can copy it

I will also benefit using this thing live, running the rack in my effects loop of my Line 6 Flextone III Plus combo amp! I’m also happy that Line 6 kept with the FBV Shortboard foot controller, because I already have that for my amp, so it will have 2 uses!

In the studio, I can’t even begin to describe how much potential this baby can deliver! You name it, you can get it! That’s all there is to say.

I’m also really really thrilled that Line 6 don’t make you buy ‘Model Packs’ anymore for you to get the really great amps and effects, they included all the model packs (amps, cabs, mics, effect, etc), so i’ll be able to dial in my sweet metal tones without having to cough-up another 50 bucks to get the ‘Metal Shop Pack’!

All in all, I can’t wait to buy this baby, and when I do I’ll post some audio recordings of how good this thing sounds

So rumors are true, Apple are releasing the Macbook Air, the thinnest notebook computer ever! Think of it as the Macbook’s baby brother (or sister). The design is sleek and silver. Not sure I’d buy it, but I’m sure it’s going to revolutionize the way portable computing is done!

So I recently upgraded form Tiger to Leopard a few weeks ago and I’m in love. There is over 300 new features with the new OS, a stand out being “Time Machine”. Basically, you can back up everything all the time, so if you lost a file a year ago, you can get it back without taking up space on your computer. Pure Genius. I also like the new dock and finder. The dock has a 3D-look to it, and has nice reflections under the icons. The new finder looks like your in iTunes if anything, as the new “Cover-Flow” way of searching has been included. Over all this is by far the best OS out there, unless you don’t appreciate design, or a computer that just works without having to be a nerd to work it properly!

It’s been funny gettin used to the new OS and having everything look great right off the bat (PC needs help there). I’m really loving the iLife suite of software that the Macbook comes with: iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, iChat, iCal, iDVD, iWeb. They’re all great apps and will prove to be very useful. So yeah…I thought I’d shout that out to you all.
